Registration & payment
We accept independent and studio registrations. Registration opens two months before the competition and the balance must be paid in FULL before the payment deadline. If you do not pay by the payment deadline you will be charged a late fee. Take The Stage reserves the right to give away your space if you fail to pay before the close of registration.
When registration closes all schools will be charged £5 for any changes they wish to make to their registration, i.e.; Routine Name Changes, Dancer Name Changes, adding and removing routines or dancers, music changes e.t.c, and these changes must be communicated in writing. No exceptions will be made.
ALL FEES AND PAYMENTS MADE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE OR TRANSFERABLE.
Photography & videography
All participants Take The Stage the right to video & photograph for promotional purposes.
Competition Changes
Take The stage reserves the right to add or reduce competition days or move the competition location due to unforeseen circumstances. Any change in competition days and/ or times is at the sole discretion of Take The Stage. In the event of a third party cancellation that is out of our control (i.e. a venue gets flooded or becomes unsafe to use) all routines are transferable to an alternate venue, date or competition location. In this case, no refunds will be made.
Scheduling
A draft schedule will be created once registration has closed and all entries have paid. The schedule will show your entry number and time allocated to compete. We will not be able to issue you with this
information prior to the schedule being issued.
All entries must look over this draft schedule and submit any corrections to Take The Stage in writing within 3 days of receiving the schedule. A correction is defined as something that has incorrect spelling or an incorrect genre assigned to it. If any further changes need to be made (such as a routine name change, adding or removing dancers, changing music e.t.c) need to be submitted in writing within 3 days of receiving the schedule and will incur a £5 admin fee.
Please be aware that we are unable to change the allocated slots or performance times (unless a dancer has a clash and not enough time to change. Entries must compete on the day and time assigned. Entries which do not compete at their assigned day & time will automatically be adjudicated and will not be eligible for high score or be awarded 1st place.
Liability
Take The Stage or our hosting venue are not responsible for any injury sustained whilst at our events. You acknowledge that you are visiting at your own risk, Take The Stage are not responsible for the loss or damage or any personal property of participants and guests during our live events.
Covid
If we cannot run due to Covid or any default of our own no refund will be given but we will re-schedule the even to another date or location. All competition entrants and attendees agree to our covid wavier by attending our competition.
“I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and many other public health authorities still recommend practising social distancing.
I further acknowledge that Take The Stage Dance Competition have put in place preventative measures, to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
I further acknowledge that Take The Stage Dance Competition cannot guarantee that I/the participants will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, other dancers and their families.
I voluntarily seek services provided by Take The Stage Dance Competition and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk to exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
I acknowledge that the participant must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending the project.
I hereby release and agree to hold Take The Stage Dance Competition harmless from and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of the studio, or that may otherwise arise in any way in connection with any services received from Take The Stage Dance Competition.
I understand that this release discharges Take The Stage Dance Competition. from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against the studio/individual with respect to any bodily injury, illness, demise, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from Take The Stage Dance Competition. This liability waiver release extends to the studio/individual together with all owners, partners, and employees.”
Technical difficulties
In the event of a technical difficulty, Take The Stage will endeavour to do everything we can to resolve it as soon as possible. By attending our event you acknowledge that technical difficulties may occur and that they arise through no fault of Take The Stage. Take The Stage will not provide a refund in the event of a technical difficulty arising.
